Jacob Blaustein is an 20 year old artist earning his BFA in Furniture Design and Glass at the Rhode Island School of Design. He was born and raised in New York City. Jacob is greatly influenced by nature and organic forms, as well as artificial. He often tries to connect aspects of clinical history to his work. He strives to work and experiment in a vast variety of mediums as well as create and adapt processes to better suit his needs. Often he utilizes his passion for innovation to create tools and setups to work more efficiently.  His work in theatrical lighting and set building has played to his advantage in creating large works and installation.
